Do veterinary neurologists have to do surgery?

I know that as far as humans, doctors can choose to be specifically neurologists or to be neurosurgeons, is it the same for the animal world? I'm really interested in animal neurology, and while I may be able to get used to the type of surgeries regular veterinarians do, I don't think I could do neurological surgery. Thanks for your help :)
